A Michael Jackson portrait by Andy Warhol is to be auctioned off.

The multi-coloured 1984 painting will go on show ahead of the sale at London's British Music Experience, inside the O2 Arena, where the singer had been due to perform 50 dates.

A similar portrait of Liz Taylor by the late artist, who died in 1987 following a gall bladder operation, sold for £14m in 2007.

Warhol was a leading figure in the Pop Art movement and he experimented by creating artworks from mass-produced images from American popular culture.

Lady Gaga
gives away her fake eyelashes after an intimate night.

The 'Poker Face' beauty - who is known for her outrageous and skimpy outfits - peels off her long lashes and leaves them on her lover's bed after they've spent the night together.

She said: "Whenever I have a lover I leave them in their apartment on the pillow. Kind of like a keepsake."

The 23-year-old star - who used to work as a burlesque dancer - says her raunchy streak stems from an incident in a New York bar before she was famous.

She explained to Britain's Independent magazine: "There was this one night where I had had a couple of drinks. I had new material and I had on this amazing outfit. I didn't want to start singing while they were talking, so I got undressed. There I was sitting at the piano in my underwear. So they shut up.

"That's when I made a real decision about the kind of pop artist that I wanted to be. Because it was a performance art moment there and then."

Alejandro Fernandez, Marco Antonio Solís, Los Lobos and Alejandra Guzman are just a few of the acts that have been affected by the cancellations of cultural festivals, theater and sports events. The Jonas Brothers and Metallica are still scheduled to perform sold-out shows in Monterrey and Mexico City, respectively, in the coming weeks.

Katy Perry denies being 'best pals' with Rihanna

Earlier this month, tabloids began reporting that Katy Perry and Rihanna had become "inseparable" following the alleged February 8 altercation between the "Umbrella" singer and her boyfriend, Chris Brown.

However, 'I Kissed a Girl' singer insists she has only 'hung out' with her fellow pop sensation twice and press has over exaggerated it.

Perry also said that she and Rihanna get on as they both understand what it's like to be catapulted into the limelight.

"We're friends and we're both kind of on this crazy rollercoaster, and... it's nice to have good girlfriends. I pride myself on having cool chicks in my life, and she's a cool chick," she added.

Rihanna's back!

After over a month of self-imposed exile following the altercation heard around the world, Rihanna resumed her social life in NYC this weekend, at the Waverly Inn for dinner with Beyonce and Jay-Z.

From the fur jacket that created a strong linebacker-like silhouette on Friday to the military inspired ensemble she selected for Saturday’s belated birthday festivities, Rihanna’s clothes said what she has been unable to: I only look like the victim.
